Lake Seminole was created in 1957 when the Jim Woodruff Dam was completed. Unlike so many man-made reservoirs, Ol'sem gets better with age
Today, the lake sprawls over 58 square miles. It's waters extend 47 miles up the Chattahoochee and Flint Rivers. It has 250 miles of shoreline, some 12,000 acres of lily pads. It has 250-odd islands with shallows surrounding them, as well as 20 miles of deeper channels on the Flint and Chattahoochee River.
Try year-round fishing on Lake Seminole. Georgia's finest fishing area. Relax undisturbed, rocked by an over flowing breeze and music of thousands of crickets....Or feel the pulsating thrill of a furious big bass weighting as much as 10 pounds at the end of your taut line.
The lake has a variety of fish, including the salt water striper, how ever, we are dedicated mostly to bass fishing, with crappie and bream close behind. Limits of catches of bass are made year-round
